Voices Of The Earth – All Products

Brandon Williams’ Voices of Earth was commissioned by the Singing City Choir of Philadelphia in 2024 for their concert titled “Earth, Wind, and Fire.” I found inspiration in Lampman’s text, which offers vivid imagery and opportunities for diverse musical colors. The flavor of the Lydian mode and the mediant relationship between D-flat major and E major are used to depict the otherworldliness of the “music of the spheres” and the “sounds deeper than human joy or human tears.”
